Senior Associate (Government Affairs and Northern Australia)Kate Worden is a senior government affairs and strategic communications leader with more than 25 years’ experience across ministerial, executive and elected roles. As a former Northern Territory Minister, she led major portfolios including domestic and family violence prevention, environment and climate, essential services, multicultural affairs, disability, housing, sport and police, fire and emergency services.
Kate has delivered significant reforms, negotiated national partnership agreements, advanced legislation and overseen governance, compliance and operational functions across government. She brings extensive experience working across remote communities, multicultural sectors and complex stakeholder environments, including eight years as a Member of Parliament and senior executive roles in the Northern Territory Government.
Kate is also an experienced Government Affairs Account Director. With multiple home bases across Canberra, Darwin and Brisbane - Kate supports local, national and international clients with strategic communications, government relations and corporate strategy. Her work with consular partners in Australia and Indonesia, combined with decades of community leadership, underpins her practical, people‑centred approach.
